Linebacker Harold Landry is setting his sights on a familiar collaboration in New England with coach Mike Vrabel, as per insights from a source closely associated with the situation.

The source, who requested anonymity, disclosed on Sunday night that Landry has secured a three-year contract valued at $43.5 million, inclusive of $26 million guaranteed. This agreement marks a significant move for Landry, who tallied nine sacks during the last season with Tennessee. The franchise, which decided to release the 2021 Pro Bowl athlete, cited financial constraints as their rationale.

In the 2023 season, Landry outperformed expectations with 10.5 sacks, demonstrating his capability over his seven-year tenure with the Titans. Under the guidance of Vrabel for six of those seasons, Landry was able to amass a commendable record of 50.5 sacks paired with 70 tackles for loss.

Vrabel, who is making a return to the Patriots to fill the role vacated by Jerod Mayo, after Mayo’s tenure as head coach ended following a season, reunites with Landry aiming to bolster the team’s defensive strategy.
