FAIRFIELD, Conn. — In an outstanding performance at the basketball court, Prophet Johnson propelled Fairfield to a decisive victory over Quinnipiac, winning with a score of 83-74 on Saturday.
Johnson was pivotal for the Stags, notching up an impressive 35 points, while also securing 12 rebounds and effecting three steals, leading his team’s charge in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Braden Sparks contributed significantly, racking up 16 points by hitting 5 of 10 shots from the field, including one successful three-pointer out of three attempts, and capitalized on free throws, going 5 for 6 from the line, while also making four steals. Furthermore, Peyton Smith chipped in with nine points, shooting 50% with 4 of 8 successful field goals.
The Bobcats made a valiant effort, with Richie Springs being a standout performer, amassing 22 points and dominating the boards with 14 rebounds.
