SAN JOSE, Calif. — Donavan Yap delivered an impressive performance to lead San Jose State to a decisive 92-68 victory over Fresno State on Saturday, marking the end of the regular season.
Yap was in remarkable form, scoring 30 points while shooting 11 of 14 from the field, including hitting 5 of 7 attempts from beyond the arc, and going 3 of 4 at the free-throw line. His outstanding contribution helped the Spartans end their season with a record of 14-18 overall and 7-13 in the Mountain West Conference.
Supporting the Spartans, Jermaine Washington contributed 19 points, shooting 5 of 11 from the field and connecting on 2 of 6 from three-point territory. Washington was perfect from the charity stripe, making all seven of his free throws. Additionally, he grabbed six rebounds during the game. Josh Uduje also put on a solid performance, scoring 16 points after making 6 of 11 field goals, including one three-pointer, and converting 3 of 4 free-throw attempts.
On the Fresno State side, the Bulldogs faced struggles but were led by Jasir Tremble, who scored 22 points and snagged three steals. Zaon Collins contributed 17 points alongside three steals, while Elijah Price managed a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds, and he also blocked three shots. Despite these individual efforts, the Bulldogs concluded their season with a challenging 6-25 overall record and a conference record of 2-18.
