EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon’s head coach, Dan Lanning, is set to continue leading the Ducks until 2030, having finalized a contract extension. The deal will reportedly see Lanning earn nearly $11 million annually, a significant commitment from the university. This was confirmed by Oregon on Friday, along with plans to extend the contracts of defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi and offensive coordinator Will Stein, ensuring their roles until the 2027 season.
The contracts have been formally approved by the Board of Trustees at Oregon, as announced by the institution. Rob Mullens, the athletic director, expressed his satisfaction with Lanning’s performance, citing the remarkable progress of Oregon football under his guidance. Dan Lanning, who is 38, has been at the helm for three seasons, achieving an impressive overall record of 35-6. Last season, Oregon maintained an undefeated streak and led the Big Ten, ultimately reaching the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff before their narrow defeat to Ohio State.
