POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Adam Clark shone brightly in Merrimack’s significant win, scoring 22 points to lead the team to a commanding 75-53 triumph over Marist this Thursday.
Clark also generously contributed to his team’s performance with 10 assists, playing a pivotal role for the Warriors who now possess a 17-14 record overall and a 14-6 record in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Bryan Etumnu was another crucial player for Merrimack, securing 16 points by efficiently converting 5 of his 6 attempts on the floor and delivering a perfect 5 for 6 from the free-throw line. Additionally, Sean Trumper showcased his skills by scoring nine points, hitting 4 out of 9 shots.
The competition was tough for the Red Foxes, who now stand at a notable record of 20-8 overall and 13-6 in the conference. Jason Schofield guided Marist with an impressive 17 points, while his teammate Elijah Lewis supported their efforts by adding 16 points and collecting six rebounds. Josh Pascarelli’s game added six more points to Marist’s score.
With this victory, Merrimack rounded off their regular season and balanced their season results with Marist. Looking ahead, Marist is set to face off against Mount St. Mary’s in an upcoming game on Saturday.
