RUSTON, La. — In an intense basketball match-up, New Mexico State secured a victory over Louisiana Tech with a 67-55 win on Thursday. Peter Filipovity played a pivotal role in leading the Aggies to victory by scoring 19 points and grabbing 12 rebounds. This win takes New Mexico State to a 17-13 overall score and a 10-7 in the Conference USA standings.
Zawdie Jackson supported the victory by scoring 17 points, including shooting 5 of 9 from the field, 3 of 4 from beyond the arc, and making 4 of 8 free throws. His performance was crucial to maintaining the team’s momentum throughout the game.
On the other side, the Bulldogs, who now stand at 19-11 overall with an 8-9 record in the conference, were led by Al Green, who put up 13 points. Daniel Batcho made significant contributions as well, adding 12 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
New Mexico State quickly seized control of the game, taking the lead just over two minutes into the first half and never relinquishing it.
