    DEKALB, Ill. — In a compelling Mid-American Conference matchup on Tuesday, Bowling Green emerged victorious over Northern Illinois with a score of 71-58. Leading the charge for Bowling Green, Javontae Campbell delivered an impressive performance, scoring 19 points and pulling down eight rebounds.

    Marcus Johnson also made a significant impact for the Falcons, contributing 17 points while shooting 5 for 13 from the field, including 2 for 3 from beyond the arc. He was solid from the free-throw line as well, hitting 5 of 7 attempts and securing seven rebounds. Derrick Butler chipped in with 14 points, demonstrating his marksmanship by going 5 of 10 overall and an efficient 4 of 7 from three-point range.

    On the opposite side, Northern Illinois’ Quentin Jones led the Huskies’ effort, scoring 18 points and achieving three steals. James Dent Jr. was also a key player for Northern Illinois, scoring 13 points, gathering seven rebounds, and dishing out six assists. Tsvet Sotirov added to the scoreboard with 11 points and was a defensive presence with three blocks.
