    LORMAN, Miss. — Texas Southern triumphed over Alcorn State 75-59 in a commanding basketball game performance on Monday night. Leading the charge for the Tigers was Zaire Hayes, who tallied 20 points. Hayes had an impressive shooting night, hitting 7 out of 11 shots, including an impressive 5 for 8 from three-point territory.

    Kolby Granger also made significant contributions to Texas Southern’s scoreboard with 13 points. He shot 5 of 11, hitting 2 of 5 three-pointers, and secured eight rebounds, adding depth to the team’s performance.

    The Braves, who struggled throughout the game, saw standout performances from Djahi Binet, who scored 16 points and added 11 rebounds along with two steals. Marcus Tankersley also managed to contribute 16 points to Alcorn State’s effort, but it wasn’t enough to close the gap against the visiting Tigers.
