Lipscomb Defeats Central Arkansas 84-66 in ASUN Quarters

    In Nashville, Tennessee, Lipscomb emerged victorious in an Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament quarterfinal clash, overpowering the 10th-seeded Central Arkansas with a commanding 84-66 win.
    Top-seeded Lipscomb will now face the sixth-seeded Queens University in a semifinal match on Thursday, while the second seed North Alabama takes on Jacksonville, who are fourth seed.

    Leading the charge for the Bisons was Joe Anderson, who had an outstanding performance, racking up 28 points, alongside seven rebounds and four steals, propelling his team to their fourth consecutive win.
    Supporting Anderson, Jacob Ognacevic produced a solid 20 points and eight rebounds, while Will Pruitt contributed 19 points, shooting 7-for-10 from the field.

    On the opposing end, Central Arkansas’ Brayden Fagbemi made the most significant impact with 20 points, four assists, and two steals. Nehemiah Turner added to the score with 14 points and four assists, alongside a 12-point contribution from Ben Fox.

    Lipscomb took control early in the game, seizing the lead at 16:16 into the first half and maintaining a grip on it throughout. Anderson particularly shone in the first half, tallying 19 points to push the Bisons to a commanding 46-24 lead by halftime.
