In Indianapolis, the NFL scouting combine concluded with impressive performances by several offensive linemen. Missouri’s offensive tackle, Armand Membou, and Georgia center Jared Wilson were among the standout athletes during the showcase.

Jared Wilson, weighing in at 310 pounds and standing 6-foot-3, made headlines when he completed his 40-yard dash in 4.84 seconds. This remarkable time makes him the second 300-pound lineman to break the 4.85-second barrier since Lane Johnson did so in 2013.

Meanwhile, Armand Membou, who entered the combine highly rated among offensive linemen, delivered a strong overall performance. Membou posted the second-fastest 40-yard dash in his category, completing it in 4.91 seconds. Notably, he also achieved a position-leading broad jump of 9 feet, 7 inches and shared the fourth-best spot in the vertical jump with a leap of 34 inches.

Will Campbell from LSU, at 6-foot-6 and 319 pounds, ranked second in the broad jump with a distance of 9 feet, 5 inches. Tate Ratledge from Georgia matched Campbell in the broad jump, also posting 9 feet, 5 inches.

Both Campbell and Membou are in contention to be the first offensive linemen picked at April’s NFL draft. Grey Zabel, a tackle from North Dakota State, recorded the highest vertical jump of the day with a leap of 36 1/2 inches, followed by Jalen Travis from Iowa State at 35 inches and Josh Conerly Jr. from Oregon at 34 1/2 inches.

For positions like quarterbacks, running backs, and receivers, the event wrapped up with a bench press test. Michigan’s Donovan Edwards and Auburn’s Jarquez Hunter stood out among the nine running backs, with Edwards achieving 23 reps and Hunter completing 21.

Among receivers, Jaylin Noel from Iowa State matched Edwards with 23 reps, while TCU’s Jack Bech pushed out 19 reps. Notably, the quarterbacks chose not to participate in this specific test.

The event will conclude with offensive linemen performing the bench press exercise on the final day of the combine.
