Clark’s 20 Lead Merrimack Over Quinnipiac 73-63

    NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. — Merrimack secured a victory over Quinnipiac with a final score of 73-63 on Sunday, thanks in part to a standout performance by Adam Clark, who contributed 20 points.
    Quinnipiac holds the lead in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with the regular season winding down, boasting a one-game advantage over Marist. Marist previously overcame Merrimack in their sole encounter of the season, which took place on January 5. Currently, Merrimack stands in third place, trailing Quinnipiac by 1.5 games.
    Clark was instrumental not only in scoring but also defensively, adding eight steals for the Warriors (16-14, 13-6). Sean Trumper chipped in with 14 points, making 3 of his 7 field goal attempts and impressively hitting 7 of 8 from the free-throw line. Devon Savage contributed 12 points, shooting 5 for 10 overall and successfully making 2 of 5 from three-point range.
    For the Bobcats (18-11, 14-4), Jaden Zimmerman emerged as the top scorer with 22 points. Paul Otieno delivered a strong performance as well, posting 20 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Additionally, Amarri Monroe added six points, made an impact on the boards with 16 rebounds, and facilitated plays with four assists.
