In Northridge, California, CSU Northridge secured a decisive victory over UCSB on Saturday, as Scotty Washington led the way with an impressive 23 points. Washington demonstrated remarkable efficiency, hitting 8 of his 11 attempts from the field and was flawless from the free-throw line, sinking all seven attempts. This performance contributed significantly to the Matadors’ 103-77 triumph in their Big West Conference matchup, improving their record to 21-8 overall and 13-5 in conference play.
Marcus Adams Jr. also played a crucial role for the Matadors, adding 20 points. He made 7 of 14 shots, although he struggled from beyond the arc, missing all three attempts. However, he was perfect from the charity stripe, converting all six free throws. Teammate Keonte Jones added depth to the team’s scoring with 16 points, shooting 6 for 9 from the field and a perfect 4 for 4 on free throws.
