Giles Leads UNC Greensboro to 108-100 Win Over Samford

    GREENSBORO, N.C. — In an exciting regular-season finale on Saturday, Kenyon Giles took the spotlight by scoring 25 points as UNC Greensboro triumphed over Samford with a score of 108-100. As a result, the Spartans have secured the No. 2 seed for the upcoming Southern Conference Tournament, with Samford positioned as the fourth seed.

    Giles also contributed significantly on the boards, collecting five rebounds for the Spartans, who finished the regular season with a 20-11 record, including 13 wins in conference play. Supporting Giles’ performance, Demetrius Davis added 22 points, demonstrating efficiency by making 5 of his 9 shots from the floor and converting 10 of his 13 attempts from the free-throw line. Additionally, Ronald Polite was on target, scoring 18 points on a near-perfect 6 of 7 shooting from the field and 5 of 6 from the line. He also played the role of facilitator with seven assists.

    On the opposing side, Trey Fort led the effort for the Bulldogs, scoring 29 points. He also contributed with eight rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
