SEATTLE — In an impressive display of skill, Matthew-Alexander Moncrieffe netted 19 points as Seattle secured a dominant 72-48 victory over California Baptist on Thursday.
Moncrieffe further contributed significantly on the defensive end with eight rebounds, helping bolster the Redhawks’ (11-16, 6-7 Western Athletic Conference) performance. John Christofilis added a solid 17 points, making 6 of his 10 field goal attempts, including 1 of 4 from beyond the arc, and was highly efficient from the free-throw line, hitting 4 out of 5. Additionally, Kobe Williamson played a pivotal role, shooting 4 of 7 from the field and converting all four of his free-throw opportunities to finish with a total of 12 points.
On the opposing side, the Lancers (13-14, 6-7) saw Tylen Riley lead their scoring efforts with a total of 14 points. Kendal Coleman contributed with eight points and pulled down six rebounds for California Baptist.
LOOKING AHEAD
Both teams are set to take the court again on Saturday. Seattle will have the advantage of a home game as they host Grand Canyon, while California Baptist heads out to compete against Utah Tech.
