In Greensboro, North Carolina, the Chattanooga Mocs secured the Southern Conference regular season title after triumphing over UNC Greensboro with a final score of 75-63 on Thursday night. This victory marks Chattanooga’s 10th consecutive win and their 13th overall regular season conference title, with their previous one being in 2022.
Bash Wieland led the charge for the Mocs with an impressive performance, scoring 18 points while shooting 6 of 7 from the field and nailing 5 out of 6 free throws. His teammate, Trey Bonham, made significant contributions with 16 points and eight rebounds. Another standout was Honor Huff, who netted 15 points, shooting 4 of 9 overall, including a 3 of 8 clip from beyond the arc, and going 4 for 6 from the free-throw line.
On the other side, UNC Greensboro’s efforts were headed by Ronald Polite, who managed to put up 17 points and dished out five assists. Supporting the Spartans, Demetrius Davis added 14 points, while Kenyon Giles contributed 10 points to the final tally.
