    FARMVILLE, Va. — Bryce Baker delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 23 points to steer Winthrop to a commanding 85-59 triumph over Longwood on Thursday night.
    Barker’s impressive shooting skills were on full display as he went 8 for 11 from the field, including a remarkable 7 of 10 from behind the three-point line for the Eagles, who now stand at 20-10 overall and 10-5 within the Big South Conference.
    Teammate Nick Johnson contributed with 10 points and grabbed seven rebounds, while Kasen Harrison matched Johnson’s scoring with 10 points after shooting 4 for 8 from the field.

    For the Longwood Lancers, now 17-13 overall and 6-9 in conference play, Kyrell Luc led the efforts with 13 points. Jaylen Benard followed with 10 points, and Johan Nziemi also played a vital role by chipping in 10 points and achieving two blocks.
