Northeastern defeats NC A&T 69-55

    BOSTON — Rashad King played a pivotal role in leading Northeastern to victory against North Carolina A&T with a 69-55 win on Thursday night. King ended the game with an impressive 25 points, making 8 of his 18 shots from the field. This included five successful three-pointers out of nine attempts, and he was perfect from the free-throw line, going 4 for 4 for the Huskies, who now have a season record of 16-14, with an 8-9 standing in the Coastal Athletic Association.

    Assisting King in the win, LA Pratt contributed nine points, hitting 4 out of 10 of his field goal attempts and managing 5 assists. William Kermoury also bolstered Northeastern’s offense by converting three of his five three-point attempts, adding up to nine points on the board.

    Nikolaos Chitikoudis was the standout player for the Aggies, who faced a tough season, with a current standing of 7-23 and 3-14 in their conference. He scored 19 points, captured 15 rebounds, and made three steals. Bryson Ogletree accounted for 13 points, and Jalal McKie added seven to the Aggies’ efforts.

    The Huskies managed to seize control of the game with 3:36 left in the first half and maintained their advantage. King’s strong performance, with 17 points in the first two quarters, helped Northeastern secure a 34-30 lead at halftime. As the second half unfolded, Northeastern launched an effective 8-0 run, which expanded their narrow two-point margin to a more comfortable 10-point lead, ensuring their triumph in the matchup.
