KINGSTON, R.I. — On Wednesday evening, the Dayton Flyers captured an 85-77 victory over the Rhode Island Rams, largely propelled by Nate Santos’s impressive 17-point performance.
Santos demonstrated his shooting prowess by going 5 for 11 from the field, including a commendable 5 for 8 from beyond the arc. The victory bolstered Dayton’s record to 19-9 overall, with a conference standing of 9-6 in the Atlantic 10.
Supporting Santos’s effort, Enoch Cheeks contributed significantly by scoring 15 points. He effectively capitalized on his chances, hitting 4 of 9 shots from the floor and was reliable at the free-throw line, sinking 6 of 7 attempts. Cheeks also bolstered the Flyers’ defense with eight rebounds and four steals, a versatile performance contributing to the team’s success.
