In Orlando, the Cleveland Cavaliers secured their eighth consecutive win in spectacular fashion by defeating the Orlando Magic 122-82 on Tuesday evening. Ty Jerome was impressive, scoring 20 points in just 21 minutes of play. Meanwhile, Max Strus, Evan Mobley, and De’Andre Hunter each contributed 17 points. Strus was notably effective from long range, hitting five of the Cavaliers’ 19 successful three-pointers out of 32 attempts. As a team, the Cavaliers displayed exceptional shooting with an overall success rate of 56.3%, helping them to achieve a remarkable season record of 48-10, the best in the NBA.

For the Magic, Paolo Banchero led the scoring effort with 26 points, while Franz Wagner added 19. The team struggled significantly with their long-range shooting, however, managing to hit only five of their 28 three-point attempts.

The Cavaliers, who had faced challenges in Orlando during their first-round playoff games last April, equaled last season’s victory count with this win. This impressive run has been achieved despite missing All-Star guard Darius Garland, who was out with a left hip contusion. The team now boasts a strong road record of 21-6.

Orlando faced a setback when guard Cole Anthony left the game in the third quarter due to a hyperextended left knee.

A key moment in the game occurred in the second quarter when Jerome made a pair of three-pointers within just 28 seconds, extending Cleveland’s lead to 45-22.

During the playoff matches in Orlando 10 months prior, the Cavaliers struggled from beyond the arc, shooting only 24.1% and averaging 89.3 points. This performance was a stark contrast to their current form.

Looking ahead, the Cavaliers are set to play against the Boston Celtics on Friday night, while the Orlando Magic will host the Golden State Warriors on Thursday.
