POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — On Sunday, the Marist Red Foxes triumphed over the Niagara Purple Eagles with a final score of 64-61, thanks in large part to Josh Pascarelli’s impressive performance, where he netted 22 points.

Pascarelli’s shooting was notable, as he made 9 of his 18 attempts from the floor, including 3 successful shots from beyond the arc. The Red Foxes, who now hold a record of 20-5 and are 13-3 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, received additional support from Elijah Lewis, who contributed 12 points and secured eight rebounds. Lewis made 4 of his 8 shots in total, and he was also effective from the free-throw line, converting 4 out of 5 opportunities.

For the Purple Eagles, Jahari Williamson emerged as the top scorer with 19 points. Olumide Adelodun had a strong outing as well, finishing the game with a double-double, tallying 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds, while also recording two steals. Zion Russell rounded out the scoring for Niagara with 10 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Marist’s lead.

This hard-fought victory for Marist not only adds to their impressive season but also highlights the contributions of their key players, solidifying their standing in the conference. The Red Foxes will look to maintain their momentum as they continue their campaign in the competitive Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
