Deen nets 24 points as Hannah’s buzzer-beater in overtime propels Bradley past Murray State 85-83

PEORIA, Ill. — In a thrilling finish, Duke Deen scored 24 points, with Darius Hannah hitting the decisive layup at the overtime buzzer, propelling Bradley to an 85-83 victory over Murray State on Saturday night.

After a timeout called by Bradley, Hannah received an inbound pass near the top of the key, surged toward the basket, and made an underhanded layup that banked in just as the clock expired.

Deen made a strong impact, contributing 21 points in the second half, showcasing impressive shooting with 6-of-14 overall, including 6-of-11 from beyond the arc. Hannah also played a vital role, finishing with 12 points, while Jaquan Johnson added 18 points and Christian Davis scored 17 for the Braves (22-7, 13-5 in the Missouri Valley Conference).

On the opposing side, Terence Harcum led the Racers (14-15, 8-10) with 22 points, alongside four assists and two steals. KyeRon Lindsay supported the team with 17 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks, while AJ Ferguson rounded out the scoring with 15 points, as well as two steals and two blocks.

At halftime, Bradley found themselves down by three points, trailing 39-36, with Johnson leading the Braves in scoring during the first half with 12 points.

Looking ahead, Bradley is set to face Valparaiso on the road this Wednesday, while Murray State will host Indiana State on Tuesday.
