GRAND FORKS, N.D. — In an exciting matchup on Saturday, Treysen Eaglestaff shone for North Dakota, scoring 27 points to propel the team to a narrow 79-77 victory over North Dakota State.
Eaglestaff showcased his shooting prowess, achieving 11 out of 16 from the field, including an impressive 5 of 6 from beyond the arc.
The Fightin’ Hawks improved their record to 11-18 overall and 5-9 in the Summit League with this win.
Alongside Eaglestaff, Deng Mayar contributed significantly, adding 13 points to the scoreboard while also grabbing seven rebounds with a shooting accuracy of 4 of 6 and converting 4 of 5 from the free-throw line.
Mambourou Mara also played a key role in the game, scoring 11 points with a solid 5 of 7 field goal performance.

On the opposing side, Jacari White was the standout player for North Dakota State, concluding the game with 26 points.
