MUNCIE, Ind.
— In an impressive performance on Saturday, Payton Sparks contributed significantly to Ball State’s victory over Buffalo, with the Cardinals securing an 80-66 win.
Sparks not only scored 18 points but also grabbed eight rebounds, showcasing his versatility for the team, which now stands at 14-13 overall and 7-7 in the Mid-American Conference.

Mickey Pearson Jr. was another key player for the Cardinals, netting 14 points and adding seven rebounds, while Ben Hendriks had an efficient outing, going 6 for 8 from the field to also conclude the game with 14 points.

On the other hand, the Bulls, who fell to 8-19 with a 3-11 conference record, found their scoring leader in Kavon Bradford, who tallied 18 points.
Ryan Sabol contributed 14 points, and Tyson Dunn added to the effort with 10 points, alongside his seven assists and two steals.

Ball State established control early in the game, taking the lead with 15:27 remaining in the first half and maintaining their advantage throughout.
Hendriks was instrumental in the opening period, leading the team with eight points, helping them to a 41-36 lead at halftime.
