EMMITSBURG, Md. — In an exciting matchup on Friday night, Mount St. Mary’s secured a 69-58 victory over Saint Peter’s, bolstered by the outstanding performance of Terrell Ard Jr., who contributed 18 points to the scoreboard.
Ard also grabbed an impressive 13 rebounds, helping the Mountaineers to improve their record to 16-10, with a conference performance of 9-6 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Dola Adebayo showcased his skills as well, scoring 14 points after shooting 7 of 11 from the field, along with nearly securing a double-double with nine rebounds. Xavier Lipscomb was also key to the Mountaineers’ success, finishing the night with 12 points, hitting 3 of 7 from beyond the arc, and converting 3 of 4 free throws.
On the opposing side, the Peacocks were led by Marcus Randolph, who tallied 17 points. Bryce Eaton contributed 12 points to Saint Peter’s efforts, while Tyreck Morris added 11 points and six rebounds to their total.
Both teams will be back on the court for their next games on Sunday. Mount St. Mary’s is set to host Rider, while Saint Peter’s will face Sacred Heart in their upcoming match.
