Chelsea is poised to miss the services of winger Noni Madueke for the next four fixtures in the Premier League as they strive to secure a spot in the top four of the standings.
The 22-year-old, who has netted seven goals in 23 league appearances this season, picked up a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s recent 3-0 defeat against Brighton.
In a press statement on Friday, Chelsea’s manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that Madueke is expected to be sidelined until the upcoming international break.

The team is currently also without striker Nicolas Jackson, who ranks as the second-highest scorer for Chelsea with nine league goals, due to his own hamstring concern.
Chelsea’s upcoming fixtures include a match against Aston Villa this Saturday, followed by home games against Southampton and Leicester City, before they take on Arsenal on March 16.
After the international hiatus, the team will welcome Tottenham on April 2.
They are also preparing for a two-legged round-of-16 clash against Copenhagen in the UEFA Conference League next month.

Currently, Chelsea occupies the sixth position in the Premier League and is level on points with Bournemouth, who are in fifth place.
At one point this season, Chelsea was ranked as high as second in the league, but their recent match against Brighton saw them maintain 70% possession without managing a single shot on target.
“We’re in a rough patch now. It’s something we have to confront,” Maresca remarked. “With only 13 games remaining, our clear goal is to finish in the top four.”

Achieving a top-four spot would guarantee a place in the Champions League, and there is a chance that finishing fifth may also secure qualification due to the Premier League gaining an additional slot based on the cumulative performance of clubs in European tournaments.
“Winning all seven of our home games could potentially be enough to secure a top-four finish,” Maresca added. “This serves as motivation for our players.”
