Marvin McGhee contributed significantly to CSU Bakersfield’s 71-66 victory against UC Davis on Thursday, finishing the game with 18 points.
McGhee demonstrated strong shooting skills, going 7 for 13 overall and making 4 of 7 from three-point range. The Roadrunners improved their record to 12-16, with a conference standing of 6-10 in the Big West Conference.
Fidelis Okereke was another key player for Bakersfield, scoring 14 points while also grabbing 11 rebounds. Tom Mark had a perfect shooting night, finishing 3 for 3 from the field and 6 for 6 from the free-throw line, also totaling 14 points. Mark contributed defensively with six rebounds and four blocks as well.
On the other side, the Aggies of UC Davis, now 15-12 and 9-7 in conference play, saw their top performer in Ty Johnson, who scored 21 points, complemented by four assists and two steals. Leo DeBruhl was also effective, adding 12 points and two steals. Additionally, Pablo Tamba provided important contributions with his nine points and eight rebounds.
