LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — In an intense matchup on Thursday night, Reggie Bass contributed significantly with 19 points, including three crucial free throws during overtime, leading Lindenwood to a narrow 93-92 victory over Little Rock.
The game was tied at 79 as Isaiah Lewis sank a 3-pointer for Little Rock with only seven seconds remaining, pushing the contest into overtime. Bass then stepped up and successfully converted all three free-throw attempts with just two seconds left on the clock. After this, Mwani Wilkinson attempted a last-second 3-point shot for Little Rock, but it failed, sealing Lindenwood’s victory.
Throughout the game, Bass displayed a solid performance, shooting 6 of 16 from the floor, including three 3-pointers out of ten attempts, and converting 4 of 5 from the free-throw line. Jadis Jones supported the team’s effort with 18 points after hitting 7 of 15 field-goal attempts and 4 of 8 free throws. Furthermore, Anias Futrell finished the match with 17 points, hitting 6 of 12 shots, including 4 of 8 from beyond the arc, along with contributing eight rebounds and three steals.
On the other side of the court, Johnathan Lawson was the standout player for the Trojans, scoring 22 points while also collecting seven rebounds, dishing out five assists, and blocking two shots. Tuongthach Gatkek added another 19 points and two blocks for Little Rock, and Ante Beljan contributed 14 points to the team’s total.
Both teams are set to return to action on Saturday, with Lindenwood traveling to Southeast Missouri State, while Little Rock will face Western Illinois at home.
