CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — In a commanding performance on Thursday night, Brendan Terry showcased his skills by scoring 25 points, leading Southeast Missouri State to a convincing 87-66 victory over Western Illinois. This win marks the Redhawks’ eighth consecutive triumph, reaffirming their strong season.
In addition to his scoring, Terry contributed significantly on the boards, pulling down nine rebounds. The Redhawks, now standing at 18-10 overall and 13-4 within the Ohio Valley Conference, received support from Tedrick Washington Jr., who scored 19 points with an impressive shooting performance of 7 for 15, including hitting 5 out of 8 from three-point range. BJ Ward also made a notable impact with 15 points, shooting 6 for 9 overall, and nailing 3 out of 4 from long distance.
For Western Illinois, Trey Deveaux was the standout player, netting 20 points in his effort. Julius Rollins contributed with 16 points and collected nine rebounds, while Marko Maletic chipped in with 11 points. The Leathernecks have a record of 10-18 this season and 4-13 in conference play.
