BURLINGTON, Vt. — In a tightly contested match, Vermont edged out Bryant with a score of 59-55, thanks to a standout performance from TJ Hurley, who contributed 17 points for the Catamounts.
Hurley had a shooting night of 7 for 19 from the floor, including 2 for 6 from beyond the arc, while Vermont improved its record to 16-11 overall and 9-3 in the America East Conference.
Ileri Ayo-Faleye also played a significant role in the victory, scoring 15 points on an impressive 6 of 9 shooting (2 for 3 from three-point range) and making an impact defensively with three blocks.
Additionally, Shamir Bogues added 11 points, hitting 5 of 11 field goals.
On the other side, the Bulldogs were led by Rafael Pinzon, who matched Hurley’s 17 points.
Barry Evans contributed a solid performance with 14 points, along with seven rebounds, two steals, and three blocks, while Earl Timberlake rounded out the scoring for Bryant with eight points and eight rebounds.
