— In an exciting matchup on Thursday night, Madison Durr led the scoring charge with 19 points for Monmouth, while Andrew Ball secured the victory by hitting a key 3-pointer with just 22 seconds left on the clock. This clutch moment propelled the Hawks to a 68-62 win over Hofstra.
Durr’s performance saw him shooting 2 for 7 from the field but remarkably converting 15 out of 18 free throw attempts, contributing significantly to the team’s success. Additionally, Jack Collins supported the effort with 14 points and six rebounds, while Abdi Bashir Jr. added nine points to the team’s tally. With this victory, Monmouth improved their record to 10-18 overall and 8-7 within the Coastal Athletic Association.
On the other side, the Pride struggled to find their rhythm, with German Plotnikov leading Hofstra with 19 points.
