RIYADH, Saudi Arabia — Heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois was undergoing a medical assessment on Thursday, casting uncertainty on his upcoming IBF title fight against Joseph Parker scheduled for Saturday.

Dubois did not attend a press conference held in the Saudi capital, leading promoter Frank Warren to explain that the absence was due to the medical examinations he is currently undergoing.
“Unfortunately, at this moment in time Daniel is being evaluated by a doctor, and when we have more details, we will share them with you,” Warren conveyed during the press event.

In response, Parker expressed his hope for Dubois’ swift recovery.
“If he is feeling unwell, I sincerely wish him a quick return to health. I’m excited for Saturday and eager to deliver a fantastic performance,” Parker said.
