Moulaye Sissoko showcased an impressive performance, scoring 27 points as North Texas secured a commanding 63-44 victory against Tulsa on Wednesday evening.
In addition to his scoring, Sissoko also recorded 11 rebounds for the Mean Green, who now stand at 19 wins and 6 losses overall, with a record of 10-3 in the American Athletic Conference.
Atin Wright played a significant role as well, contributing 15 points on an efficient shooting night, hitting 5 out of 11 attempts, including 2 out of 6 from beyond the arc. He was also perfect at the free-throw line, making all three attempts and grabbing five rebounds.
Jasper Floyd struggled a bit, finishing the game with seven points on 3 of 12 shooting from the field.
On the opposing side, Jared Garcia led the Golden Hurricane with 14 points while Dwon Odom added nine points and registered five assists. Tyshawn Archie also made a mark with eight points along with two steals in the game.
The Mean Green quickly took control of the game, seizing the lead just 14 seconds after the opening tip-off and maintaining it throughout the contest.
By halftime, North Texas had established a solid 30-19 lead, with Sissoko already contributing 14 points to the effort.
The second half saw North Texas continue to outperform Tulsa, outscoring them by another eight points and with Sissoko leading the way again, notching up 13 points in that period.
