PHILADELPHIA — Mikkel Tyne contributed significantly to the Richmond Spiders’ 63-58 victory over La Salle on Wednesday night, recording a total of 17 points.
Tyne’s shooting performance was impressive, hitting 6 of 12 attempts from the field, including an outstanding 5 of 6 from beyond the three-point line.
B. Artis White also made a notable impact, scoring 12 points and achieving 5 of 6 from the free-throw line, although he struggled with his shooting from three-point territory, making only 1 of 6 attempts.
Additionally, Mike Walz added 11 points to the score, successfully shooting 5 of 10 from the field, including a 1 for 3 mark from three-point range.

The Explorers, led by Deuce Jones, who scored 16 points and dished out seven assists, fought hard but fell short.
Mac Etienne contributed with 14 points and six rebounds, while Jahlil White recorded a well-rounded performance with 10 points, 13 rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

In the first half, Walz was a key player for Richmond, scoring seven points, though they trailed at halftime with a score of 35-30.
Tyne took charge in the second half, adding 11 points to help secure the win for the Spiders.

Looking ahead, the Spiders will face off against Saint Joseph’s on Saturday for their next matchup, while La Salle will host Duquesne on Wednesday.
