PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Eagles, the reigning Super Bowl champions, announced on Wednesday that Kevin Patullo has been elevated to the position of offensive coordinator following Kellen Moore’s exit from the team.

Patullo had been an integral part of the Eagles’ coaching staff since 2021 when he was brought on as the passing game coordinator, coinciding with Nick Sirianni’s appointment as head coach. In 2023, he further advanced his career by becoming the associate head coach.

Taking charge of an offense that ranked second in rushing in the NFL with Moore as the coordinator, Patullo is now tasked with continuing the team’s success. Moore recently accepted a position as head coach in New Orleans, shortly after the Eagles’ victory over Kansas City in the Super Bowl.

“I can’t make decisions without consulting Kevin first, whether it’s game-related, scheduling, or anything offensive,” Sirianni stated, highlighting the importance of Patullo’s input in various aspects of the team’s operations.

Patullo began his NFL career in 2007 as an offensive assistant and quality control coach with the Kansas City Chiefs. Over the years, he has gained experience with teams like Buffalo, Tennessee, the New York Jets, and Indianapolis before joining the Eagles.

Sirianni expressed trust and confidence in Patullo, saying, “You can’t achieve greatness without relying on others, and that absolutely holds true with Kevin Patullo. I trust him completely.”

Under Patullo’s guidance, the Eagles achieved a franchise-record 3,048 rushing yards in the previous season, largely thanks to the dynamic play of quarterback Jalen Hurts and a robust offensive line. Additionally, Saquon Barkley made headlines with 2,005 rushing yards during the regular season and 499 in four playoff games, setting a new NFL single-season record.
