FORT COLLINS, Colo. — In an exciting matchup on Tuesday night, Nique Clifford led the charge for Colorado State, scoring 22 points in their 79-71 triumph over Nevada.
His performance was pivotal as he also pulled down nine rebounds and delivered five assists, contributing significantly to the Rams’ success with a record of 17-9 overall and 11-4 in the Mountain West Conference.

Jalen Lake played a crucial role as well, accumulating 14 points while shooting 5 of 9 from the field, including a solid 3 for 7 from beyond the arc, and he provided five assists for the team. Rashaan Mbemba rounded out the impressive scoring efforts with 12 points, which included a 3 of 7 shooting performance from the field, and he was particularly effective at the line, hitting 6 of 10 free throws. Additionally, Mbemba secured 10 rebounds, showcasing his presence on both ends of the court.

For the Wolf Pack, Nick Davidson was the standout player, matching Clifford’s 22 points and adding seven rebounds along with two steals. Tyler Rolison was another key contributor, finishing with 21 points and three steals, while Brandon Love provided support with nine points and two steals.

Clifford had a slower start, scoring just six points in the first half as Colorado State entered halftime down by three, with a score of 36-33. However, in the second half, he found his rhythm, scoring 16 points that propelled Colorado State to a strong finish and an eight-point win.

Looking ahead, both teams will return to action on Saturday. Colorado State is set to travel to UNLV, while Nevada will host Boise State at home.
