SALT LAKE CITY — In an intense matchup, Micah Gray led the charge for No. 24 Oklahoma State, scoring 18 points and sinking four 3-pointers, as the team secured a 68-64 victory over Utah on Tuesday night. Praise Egharevba also made a significant impact, contributing 10 points and securing 11 rebounds for the Cowgirls.

Gray’s performance included a pivotal 3-pointer at the end of the third quarter, narrowing the gap to 56-50. Her momentum carried into the fourth, where she knocked down two more 3s within the first three minutes, allowing Oklahoma State to capture a 59-58 lead—its first since leading 32-30. With just over two minutes left in the game, Gray hit another critical 3-pointer, breaking a four-minute scoring drought and pushing the Cowgirls ahead 64-62.

Egharevba played a crucial role down the stretch, snagging her second offensive rebound of a crucial late possession and converting a shot while being fouled with 31.8 seconds to go. She successfully completed the three-point play, extending Oklahoma State’s lead to 67-64.

Utah was unable to maintain possession, committing a turnover with 21.1 seconds remaining in an effort to cut into the deficit. For Oklahoma State, Anna Gret Asi contributed 15 points, with eight coming from the free-throw line, marking a significant milestone for the team as they achieved their 11th conference win—their highest since a 13-5 finish in the 2020-21 season.

Gianna Kneepkens stood out as the sole double-digit scorer for Utah, finishing with 16 points. The Utes recorded a solid 13-2 record at home, with their only other home loss coming against Kansas State earlier in January.

Despite facing a challenging shooting night with only 37.1% from the field in the first half, Oklahoma State managed to stay competitive, collecting 12 offensive rebounds against Utah’s total of 14. Ultimately, the Cowgirls dominated the rebounding battle, finishing with a staggering 47-31 advantage on the boards.

Looking ahead, Oklahoma State will return to their home court to face Colorado on Saturday, while Utah will hit the road to play Cincinnati on Sunday.
