Ireland displayed an impressive performance, shooting 8 for 11 from the field and 1 for 3 at the free-throw line. The Colonels improved their overall record to 16-11 and hold a respectable 10-6 in the Southland Conference.
In addition to Ireland’s strong showing, Trae English made his presence felt with 17 points and facilitated the offense with eight assists. Robert Brown III also played a crucial role, knocking down three shots from beyond the arc and finishing with 15 points.
On the other side of the court, the Privateers struggled to maintain their footing as they faced their ninth consecutive loss, dropping to a record of 4-23 with a 2-14 mark in the conference. Both Michael Thomas, Leland Coleman, and Kohen Rowbatham each contributed 12 points for New Orleans.
Thomas stood out defensively, achieving a double-double with a remarkable 17 rebounds alongside his scoring efforts.
