TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M secured an 85-76 win against Alcorn State on Monday night, with Milton Matthews leading the charge by scoring 26 points.

Matthews had a strong performance, making 9 of his 19 attempts from the field, which included hitting 3 out of 9 from beyond the arc.

Additionally, he was perfect at the free-throw line, sinking all five of his tries. This victory improved the Rattlers’ record to 12-12 overall and 9-4 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.

Ja’Derryus Eatmon contributed significantly to the win as well, scoring 16 points and shooting an impressive 7-for-8.

Shaqir O’Neal added to the team’s success with a double-double, achieving 12 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.

On the opposing side, Jalyke Gaines-Wyatt led the Braves with 22 points, showcasing his scoring ability.

Both Djahi Binet and Marcus Tankersley performed well for Alcorn State, scoring 14 points each, with Binet also grabbing seven rebounds.
