Harper nets 34 points as Howard triumphs over Maryland-Eastern Shore 86-62

In a decisive game on Monday, Blake Harper showcased an impressive performance, netting 34 points on 12-of-16 shooting, helping Howard University overpower Maryland-Eastern Shore with a final score of 86-62.
Harper also contributed significantly with eight rebounds and five assists for the Bison, who now hold a record of 11-15 and 6-3 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. Marcus Dockery supported the offense by scoring 17 points, shooting 6 for 12 from the field, including two from beyond the arc, and making all three of his free-throw attempts.

On the opposing side, Ketron Shaw emerged as the top scorer for the Hawks, registering 21 points along with eight rebounds. Evan Johnson also played a role in the Hawks’ offense, adding 15 points to the total. Unfortunately for Maryland-Eastern Shore, this loss marked their tenth consecutive defeat, leaving them struggling at 4-21 and winless in the conference standings at 0-9.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete again on Saturday. Howard will travel to face Morgan State, while Maryland-Eastern Shore will play North Carolina Central at home.
