LIMA, Peru — Colombian music icon Shakira announced on Monday that she will be resuming her world tour and is set to perform in Lima, Peru, on Monday evening. This comes after her concert was called off over the weekend due to a stomach ailment.

The Grammy-winning artist took to her Instagram to inform her fans about the upcoming concert, confirming that she will take the stage at Lima’s Estadio Nacional at 8:15 p.m. local time.

At 48 years old, Shakira arrived in Peru on Friday with plans to perform two concerts, one scheduled for Sunday and the other for Monday. However, she had to cancel the Sunday show after being hospitalized for an abdominal issue, which she conveyed to her followers on X.

Shakira recently kicked off her world tour with performances in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo last week. Following her concert in Lima, her tour is set to cover various locations, including dates in Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, and over a dozen cities in the United States such as Orlando, Houston, Detroit, Boston, New York, and San Francisco.

In her message on X, the singer mentioned that her team is currently arranging a new date for the concert that was postponed on Sunday.
