AUBURN HILLS, Mich. — In an exhilarating matchup on Sunday, Nassim Mashhour propelled the Oakland Golden Grizzlies to a thrilling 93-83 overtime victory against Detroit Mercy, scoring an impressive 24 points.
The game swung in Oakland’s favor when Isaiah Jones landed a critical 3-pointer, completing an 8-0 scoring spree that put the Golden Grizzlies ahead 87-79 with just 1:50 remaining in regulation. From that point onward, they maintained their lead to secure the win.
Mashhour’s performance was notable: he went 5 for 11 from the field (including only 1 for 7 from beyond the arc) and was exceptionally consistent at the free-throw line, sinking 13 of 16 attempts. His teammates also contributed significantly; Jaylen Jones added 16 points to the scoreboard, while Allen David Mukeba Jr. delivered a strong performance with 13 points and 10 rebounds to round out a solid effort by the team.
On the other side, it was Orlando Lovejoy who led the Titans with 20 points.
