Elijah Lewis played a key role in Marist’s narrow victory over Merrimack, scoring 13 points in the matchup that ended with a final score of 61-60 on Sunday.
In addition to his scoring, Lewis also grabbed nine rebounds, contributing significantly to the team’s effort as the Red Foxes improved their record to 18 wins and 5 losses, with an impressive 11-3 standing in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
Fellow teammates also made notable contributions; Josh Pascarelli added 12 points with a shooting record of 3 for 10 from beyond the arc and 3 for 4 from the free-throw line.
Tarik Watson matched Pascarelli’s scoring total, finishing with 12 points while shooting 5 of 10 from the floor and converting 2 of 4 free throws.
On the opposing side, Adam Clark emerged as the leading scorer for the Warriors, tallying 19 points along with six assists and three steals.
Bryan Etumnu made a solid impact with his contributions of 13 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.
Sean Trumper also chipped in, scoring 10 points and dishing out four assists.
