MANCHESTER, England — Amad Diallo, a forward for Manchester United, has unfortunately joined the ranks of injured players at the club due to an ankle ligament injury.
Reports emerging from British media on Saturday suggest that Diallo’s injury might keep him out for the remainder of the season. The player himself took to social media to express his situation, stating, “I will be out for some time with an injury.”
The 22-year-old winger has emerged as one of the few positive aspects of United’s season so far, having netted six goals in his last 14 matches across all competitions. However, he sustained the injury during training before the team’s upcoming Premier League clash against Tottenham on Sunday.
In addition to Diallo, several other United players, including midfielders Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Toby Collyer, are also expected to miss the Tottenham game due to injuries. Defender Lisandro Martinez is dealing with a significant setback as well, having recently suffered a season-ending injury to his ACL.
Currently, Manchester United finds itself in a challenging position, sitting 13th in the league table after a lackluster start under manager Ruben Amorim. The ongoing injury struggles continue to pose challenges for the squad as they attempt to turn the season around.
