SALT LAKE CITY — Brad Wilson, a former speaker of the Utah House and candidate for the U.S. Senate, has been appointed as the new CEO of the Utah Olympic organizing committee.
The committee, which is set to oversee the upcoming Winter Games in 2034, made the announcement regarding its leadership team on Friday.
Fraser Bullock has taken up the role of executive chair and president, a position particularly fitting as Bullock previously served as the chief operating officer during the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Utah.
Among the members of the six-person executive committee is renowned Olympic athlete Lindsey Vonn, who joins Bullock alongside U.S. Olympic and Paralympic leaders Sarah Hirshland and Gene Sykes.
The next Winter Olympics are scheduled to take place in February in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, while the 2030 Games are confirmed to be held in the French Alps.
