Pacific defeats Loyola Marymount 83-58, with Washington contributing 31 points

    In a decisive matchup, Lamar Washington poured in 31 points, propelling Pacific to an impressive 83-58 victory over Loyola Marymount on Thursday evening.

    Washington’s outstanding performance included not only his scoring but also 10 rebounds, six assists, and five steals, showcasing his all-around talent for the Tigers, who currently hold a record of 9-19 and 4-10 in the West Coast Conference.

    Elias Ralph contributed significantly to the team’s success with 15 points, managing to shoot 7 for 13 from the field, including one successful three-pointer, along with gathering seven rebounds. Meanwhile, Petar Krivokapic was effective from long range, finishing with 12 points and a solid 4 of 8 from beyond the arc.

    On the other side, the Lions, who now stand at 15-11 overall and 7-7 in conference play, were led in scoring by Caleb Stone-Carrawell who netted 19 points and made two steals. Aaron McBride added 10 points to the tally while also blocking two shots, and Myron Amey Jr. chipped in with seven points.

    During the first half, Washington managed to score 13 points, helping Pacific stay competitive, as they entered halftime narrowly trailing 33-32. However, the second half saw Washington take control, scoring 18 of the team’s 51 points as they pulled away to secure a commanding 25-point victory.

    Looking ahead, both the Pacific Tigers and Loyola Marymount Lions are set for their next games on Saturday, with Pacific traveling to face Oregon State and Loyola Marymount heading to Portland.
