The game reached its tense conclusion when Obinna Anochili-Killen made a critical jumper for Marshall with just 12 seconds remaining in regulation, leading to a 77-77 tie and forcing overtime. South Alabama demonstrated strong teamwork and defensive prowess in the extra frame, ensuring they pulled ahead for the victory.
In addition to Ormiston’s offensive output, he also contributed five rebounds for the Jaguars, who improved to a record of 17-9 overall and 9-4 in the Sun Belt Conference.
