NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Central Connecticut State emerged victorious over Mercyhurst with a final score of 73-63, marking their seventh consecutive win. Jordan Jones led the scoring for the Blue Devils, contributing 19 points and also dishing out eight assists.
In addition to Jones, Jayden Brown also made a significant contribution by scoring 16 points, showcasing an efficient shooting performance with 6 out of 10 attempts, although he struggled from behind the arc finishing 0 for 3. Brown was also effective on the boards, netting eight rebounds. Devin Haid chipped in with 11 points, hitting 4 of 11 shots, which included making 1 of his 4 attempts from three-point range.
On the opposing side, the Lakers were spearheaded by Bernie Blunt, who scored 18 points. Jeff Planutis followed closely behind with 14 points and Deshaun Jackson Jr. added 13 points to the scoreboard as well.
