Smithfield, R.I. — In a commanding performance, Earl Timberlake led the Bryant Bulldogs to an impressive 88-66 victory over NJIT on Thursday evening.
Timberlake scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, showcasing his versatility on the court for the Bulldogs, who now hold a record of 16 wins and 10 losses, along with a strong 10-1 standing in the America East Conference.
Barry Evans contributed significantly to the team’s success, netting 15 points while shooting 7 for 14 from the field, including 1 for 4 from beyond the arc. He also recorded 10 rebounds and five assists, rounding out a well-balanced performance. Connor Withers added to the scoring effort with 12 points, hitting 4 of 9 attempts from the field, including 2 for 7 from three-point territory. In addition, he played a key role by dishing out seven assists and securing three steals, further enhancing the Bulldogs’ victory.
On the other side, the Highlanders were led by Tim Moore Jr., who finished the night with 22 points and eight rebounds. Tariq Francis also had a notable performance, contributing 17 points along with five assists, while Sebastian Robinson chipped in with another 10 points for NJIT, which now has a record of 5-21 and 2-9 in the conference.
Looking ahead, both teams are slated to return to action on Saturday. Bryant will host UMBC, whereas NJIT will welcome Binghamton to their home court.
