KENT, Ohio — In a thrilling matchup on Tuesday evening, Marquis Barnett emerged as a key player for Kent State, contributing significantly to the team’s 91-83 triumph over Central Michigan with an impressive 28 points coming off the bench.

Barnett showcased his shooting prowess, successfully hitting 10 of 13 attempts from the floor, which included 6 of 8 from 3-point range. Additionally, teammates VonCameron Davis and Jalen Sullinger added to the scoring thread; Davis netted 21 points, while shooting 7 for 13, including 4 for 5 from three-point land and converting all of his free-throw attempts. Sullinger also had a strong performance, contributing 19 points, shooting 7 of 13 overall and sinking 4 of 8 from beyond the arc.

For Central Michigan, which is now at a record of 11-13 and 4-7 in Mid-American Conference play, Ugnius Jarusevicius was the standout performer, collecting an impressive 32 points along with 10 rebounds and two steals.
