Northwestern State claimed a 72-60 win over Nicholls in a Monday night basketball matchup, with Love Bettis leading the way by scoring 16 points.
Bettis had an impressive shooting performance, connecting on 5 of 8 attempts from the field and converting 6 of 7 from the free-throw line.
The victory improves the Demons’ record to 12-13, with a conference standing of 8-6 in the Southland Conference.
Meanwhile, Micah Thomas added to the score with 14 points, notably sinking four shots from beyond the three-point arc.
